Site Furnishings from Petersen Manufacturing Co.

Petersen Manufacturing has been family owned since 1913. They were founded by L.T. Petersen in Storm Lake, Iowa and later moved to Denison, Iowa, were it is in operation today. Currently, the company is owned by Chris Petersen, son of L.T.  In the late 1970’s, Chris began to expand their product line from concrete livestock watering equipment to site furnishings.  Today, they have a full line of site furnishings made from steel, precast concrete, glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) and plastic.

Petersen’s metal site furnishings are handcrafted, using high quality steel. The heavy gauge steal is manually sandblasted, and then chemically phosphatized to accept the many colors of powder-coating available. Their metal furnishings are available in standard or custom styles, sizes, shapes, or colors. Products include:

  • Benches and Tables
  • Bike Bollards and Racks
  • Planters
  • Cigarette Snuffers
  • Receptacles
  • Tree Guards

For more than 100 years Petersen Manufacturing has been setting the standard for quality products. Their products are purchased by state and federal government agencies, shopping malls, parks and sports stadiums, schools and homes.
