The City of Portage started working on a Splash Pad this spring, with the goal of including more places to sit, and more shade. Dan Kremer, Manager of Parks & Recreation for the City of Portage worked with Miller & Associates to select shade units and benches for the Splash Pad.

Over 20 years ago, the City of Racine Police Department embraced the community policing philosophy, deciding to locate themselves where crime was the worst. The police department built its own house in a problem area to set a good example for the neighborhood.

The Village of Plover will soon have new bleacher seating at Veterans Memorial Field. Through the combined efforts of the Village of Plover and the Plover Black Sox American Legion Baseball team, spectators at Veterans Park will enjoy new code compliant bleachers when the season opens this spring.

Fritsch Park was a passive park in the Town of Menasha with older park equipment that needed to be updated. With a master plan in hand, Parks and Recreation Director Mike Kading and his Park commission redesigned the passive neighborhood park to focus on creating a more active use park for the community.
